Max the Cat
Max cooperative game from family pastimes

Our Price: $17.00

We play as little creatures that Max the Cat would love to catch. How can the little creatures get safely home before Max catches them?  In an exciting way, children learn logic, consultation and decision making. An important issue is: we don't like Max catching the little creatures, but we recognize he is a natural hunter. How do we resolve this conflict  in our minds and hearts? Let's talk it over. Maybe keeping Max away can mean being sure his needs are met.

5 of 5 Great game for kids and parents too March 9, 2015

This is a great game that all my kids enjoy! Some luck is involved -- you roll the dice to see whether Max or the little creatures move -- but strategy is important too -- you have to decide which of the creatures to move to try to keep everyone safe. We also discuss as a group when we should use one of the four treats to call Max back home -- usually when he is dangerously close. There is a feeling of nervousness when Max starts to get close to a creature which makes the game exciting and a feeling of satisfaction and relief each time you get an animal home. We love this game!
